Balaton "Small Loop" – Cycling Endurance Challenge – 78 km
The Balaton "Small Loop" Endurance Challenge is a unique, real-time cycling event covering 78 km along one of the most scenic sections of the lake. Along the route, you'll find 24 checkpoints where you can collect up to 2,400 points through various tasks and stops. It's not just about speed – point collection, smart strategy, and endurance are all key to success.
Time tracking is done via mobile phones, so 100% accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it also depends on the type of device used. Please take this into account before participating in the challenge.
Please note that the finish line must be crossed last during the Challenge. If you cross it too early, the race will automatically end.
The system uses your phone’s GPS, which can significantly drain the battery. Please start the race with a fully charged battery, or bring a power bank to ensure you can complete the entire route.
The top three finishers will receive medals, but the biggest motivation is the grand prize: a modern trekking bike, which will be raffled among those who finish at the top of the leaderboard. Completing the race is an experience in itself – the views of the lake, the varied course, and the overall atmosphere of the challenge make for an unforgettable day.
The Balaton "Small Loop" is also ideal for those trying a race like this for the first time. The distance can be completed at a comfortable pace, and the point-based system allows not only the fastest riders to succeed.
