Murau – Cycling Performance Challenge – 33.4 km

Time tracking is done via smartphones, so 100% accuracy cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on the type of device used. Please take this into account before participating in the race!

Please note that during the Challenge, the finish line must be crossed last. If you cross the finish line too early, the race will automatically end.

The system uses your phone’s GPS, which can significantly drain your battery. Please start the race with a fully charged battery or bring a power bank to ensure you can complete the entire course.

Murau / Performance Challenge – 33.4 km | 1100 points | Real-time challenge in the heart of the Alps

Discover one of Austria’s most enchanting regions – the Murau mountains – through a serious performance challenge!

A 33.4-kilometer cycling challenge awaits you, leading through the areas of St. Blasen, Sankt Lambrecht, and Trattenhof – across scenic landscapes and winding roads, all above 800 meters. This is no walk in the park: 691 meters of elevation gain, steady pace, endurance, and focus are all essential to make it to the end!

Use the Pilot System app to track your route in real time and automatically record your performance. You’ll pass through 11 checkpoints along the course – each one earns you points, up to a total of 1100. There are no quiz questions – only your real performance counts. Once you reach the finish line, your result will be uploaded automatically to the leaderboard – where it’s clear who was the fastest, the most persistent, and the most determined.

This challenge is designed for advanced, experienced cyclists who enjoy serious climbs and real-time competition – whether with others or against themselves. The scenery makes it all worthwhile: breathtaking panoramas, fresh alpine air, and the satisfaction of conquering the mountain.
