Please note that during the Challenge, the finish line must be crossed last. If you cross the finish line too early, the challenge will automatically end.

The system uses your phone’s GPS, which can significantly drain the battery. Please start the challenge with a fully charged battery or bring a power bank to make sure you can complete the entire route.

Explore the wild forests of Murau through a unique real-time hiking challenge! The 7,350-meter route is an ideal choice for those who love the closeness of nature, physical activity, and discovery filled with memorable experiences. Along the way, you’ll encounter checkpoints, rest stops, and quiz stations – your goal is to collect 1,350 points while immersing yourself in the magic of the forest.

The hike is supported by the Pilot System app, which not only helps you navigate the route but also displays your earned points in real time. Once you reach the finish line, your result is automatically uploaded to the official leaderboard, where the best performances of the season compete. Collecting points and answering quiz questions correctly can bring you closer to the grand prize – and luck plays a role too: all finishers are entered into a prize draw with valuable rewards.

In the Murau Forest Challenge, it’s not just your performance that counts – along the route, you’ll discover special spots like a mountain lookout, a wildlife feeding station, and even a surprise Snow White statue.
